The PMA is the professional association of agents representing UK based actors, writers, producers, directors, designers and technicians in the film, television and theatre industries.
Established in 1950 as the Personal Managers' Association, the PMA has over 130 member agencies representing more than 1,000 agents. We hold regular meetings to explore industry issues and to share information on fee structures and working conditions.
Advocacy is a vital aspect of the PMA's role. We are widely consulted within the industry on raising standards and improving working practices. We are involved in policy discussions within government bodies and we work closely with unions, broadcasters and producers.
We also organise a number of seminars during the year, such as the recent event on new technology and another on television format dealings, which are attended both my members and representatives of the broadcasters, producers and legal profession.
